The Scooba's pretty cool, I have a friend that has one. But for the more... teleconfrenc-ing-ly inclined, iRobot is also coming out with the ConnectR which is a roomba with a webcam on top.
They claim it will allow you to :
- Participate in family moments even though you're working late
- On a business trip? Read your kids a story and see their faces light up
- Join the fun from near or far
- Throw a party from a thousand miles away
- Tell Fido he's a "good boy" even while you're on vacation
I'm not convinced. I feel it needs a screen to display the remote user's image, at least. It looks more like a pervy 'look up girls skirt'-bot to me. But, ah, yesh. The Scooba is cool.
